It's been a pretty slow week over Thanksgiving break, which makes sense to add a slow song.
This is the slowest song "You Me At Six" has off of their latest album "Sinners Never Sleep". A personal 2nd favorite off of this album closely behind "Takes One To Know One" but hey, if it was voting for a slow song, this has 1st place. I only recently heard of YM@6 and was ashamed I hadn't earlier. You Me At Six pioneered most of the sounds and musical styles we hear from bands that have started in the last 4-5 years. Mayday Parade, All Time Low, Never Shout Never, Sleeping With Sirens, and Tonight Alive all admit to have been inspired and intrigued with what Josh Franceschi has done with a unique voice and a guitar.
I'm amazed that this band has stuck around for so long, out of 5 band members, 4 of them have been around since the beginning in 2004, and the memorization that they've had to go through with 3 full length albums totaling over 50 songs, not to mention even exclusive singles they've had over the years. So give it a listen, the lyrics are some of the best I've heard too.
